![]() Obviously, there isn’t a perfect answer, or at least not one that anyone in the indie scene has been able to completely lockdown. The simplicity of the jump and dive game was something Trobbiani “instantly fell in love with” and thus, Wrestling was born. While experimenting for a fourth game, he “wanted to do more with the dive in volleyball". Wrestling, though, is truly original to the package. However, to get the feel just right, Trobbiani took “some cues from Lethal League, with their extremely exaggerated slowmo on hit". Of the other modes, Smashball is a modern take on Sanrio World Smash Ball. ![]() That said, Trobbiani “missed some of the snappy weirdness of Glove Slap” and wanted to include it in Wrestledunk. That game “got a lot wrong” about how Nidhogg would play. He and Matt LeKrupa previously made a game called Glove Slap years ago that was based on the first-ever trailer for Nidhogg. Martymon wasn’t the only dev Trobbiani worked with to build out the foundations of Wrestledunk. After all, Trobbiani wanted to make sure Martymon was okay with him using Volley Blockers as something of a foundation for the eventual Volleyball game.
